The idea behind YaYa’s Skordalia is simple…real food wins every time. Greek families have been eating skordalia for generations, and when I started to make it for my own family I put a modern twist on it to highlight the fresh, bold flavors of simple real food ingredients.
The result is a skordalia, which I also call Greek Almond Dip*, that is sure to become a staple in your fridge. There are just so many ways to use it – dip it, spread it, or mix it in your favorite recipes. It’s like having a YaYa right there in the kitchen ready to help you turn any simple snack or meal into a family favorite at a moment’s notice.

* A little history lesson…traditional skordalia recipes call for stale bread, which I replaced with sweet potatoes, which are more flavorful and nutrient-dense. More appealing, right? We think so too!
